The following measures are a good start to improve the appearance of your skin:Step 1: Cleanse
The first step is to clean your skin. Wet your face then apply the cleanser and massage gently with circular movements for 15 seconds to 5 minutes. Rinse everything thoroughly. Avoid rubbing or massaging the face with a towel, pat it dry. Also, be sure to these few details:

* Use a mild cleanser or medicated, containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in the morning and before bedtime.

* Avoid washing too often or scrub too hard. This determination may deprive your skin of natural oils and can irritate acne already present.

* If you have oily skin, avoid cream-based cleansers that could accentuate this characteristic.

* Some cleansers can also dry your skin, especially if you abuse it. You may need to try several before you find out which suits you.
Step 2: Moisturize
After cleaning, apply a light moisturizer, not greasy. If your skin is really oily, this step is not necessary. When choosing a moisturizer, read the label and make sure it is not comedogenic.Step 3: Treat
Most topical acne treatments (for skin application) sold without prescription in pharmacies contain benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, zinc and sulfur. These treatments are available as gels, solutions, creams, lotions or patches. Before applying a new product on the face, always test it on a small area of skin of the arm or behind the ear. You will then see if you have a sensitivity to the product. If a major irritation develops (eg. Redness, burning or peeling), look for a less powerful or decrease the frequency of applications.
Apply topical solutions on all areas prone to acne and not only on the imperfections, to prevent the formation of other lesions. If your acne does not improve after 6-8 weeks of treatment, consult your family doctor or your dermatologist for a more effective treatment.Tips:
